Today I was cycling Osu area. Waiting go sign at crossing, I found a family looking into map closely, that map was distributed free at entrance of Osu I knew. Word "Okomaridesuka?" caused mother be puzzled but"Need help?" was effective.
Teen-age son of the family from Hongkong hoped to buy Gundam figure in mid-Japan most famous anime shopping area.
I cannot pickup all figure shops in condensed Osu-area-memory in seconds, then father worried whether I could realize Gundam as famous animation made by Sunrise studio. Of course I could. (To prove it, I draw sketch of famous robot face with two antenna). And I marked 3 shops on the map, pointed street name sign to make it clear where we were.
If you need all kind, all age, of prizes, novelties, fanzines, cos-play ware etc, concerning comics and animations, Mandarake[まんだらけ]is the biggest store(building), but (maybe Mandarake don't contribute free map maker), there is no Mandarake depiction on the free map. It is 2 blocks south of Gee-Store, a bit north of street between Liquer Off and HongKong Yamcha shop. The building has vertical long big square yellowish-white sign with black Japanese letters on roof top.
Gee-store itself is shop of new books, comics, magazines, cos-play, anime-goods and it worth glance inside.
There are more figure shops (Vokes, Paper Moon etc.). If I have time and I get stars/questions/comments I will describe different tendency of each shop more. Mei-eki area（名駅、area around Shinkansen Nagoya station) is also otaku-friendly area. Another famous deep core comic shop Torano-ana went Mei-eki area years ago.
